Position: Accounting & Billing Specialist
Mara Horan is a finance and operations professional known for bringing clarity and structure to complex systems. During her tenure at Munson, she managed large departmental budgets, strengthened billing and payment processes, and improved workflows across multiple teams.
She’s known for spotting issues before they become problems and for building processes that actually work in the real world. From optimizing accounts receivable to refining internal systems and vendor relationships, Mara focuses on accuracy, efficiency, and long-term stability
She also spent time in the tourism industry, working closely with local businesses and community partners—an experience that deepened her appreciation for the role small businesses play in driving local economies and shaping community connections.
In addition to her operational work, Mara brings a strong background in education and leadership. She currently serves as an adjunct professor at Utica University, where she teaches theatre and translates complex ideas into practical, easy-to-understand concepts—a skill she carries into her day-to-day work.
